Desert Scavenger Dragon

A small dragon creature that inhabits dry climates. It has developed adaptations to assist its life in this harsh environment. Scales' color camouflages its appearance. Shape of the scales and the scale at the tip of its snout help it dig holes in the sand and make it harder to eat for a predator. Bright horns and foldable membranes are used for courtship display. Jaw can be dislocated to swallow small prey and eggs. It is very fast and makes its lair near human habitat or water sources as those are the places that attract small animals looking for food. It has two hunting methods. One is burying itself in the sand and waiting for prey to pass by. The other method is perching along highways where whey can easily spot the roadkill or animals crossing the road.
